Privacy Policy
Waken: Alarm & Morning · Last updated: October 17, 2026
Waken: Alarm & Morning ("Waken", "the App") is an alarm app with wake-up missions, made by AlcStack Dev ("we", "us"), an independent developer. This policy explains what information the App and our support channel handle, why, who receives it, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have. Waken has no accounts and shows no ads.
1. Who we are
AlcStack Dev is the controller of the information described in this policy. For anything about privacy you can reach us at privacy@alcstackdev.com. If you need our postal address or want to send a formal notice, email us and we will provide it.
2. What stays on your device
The App does not ask for your name, email address or phone number. Your alarms (times, labels, repeat days, missions and sounds), settings, wake-up history, streak and your answers to the first-run questions are stored only on your device. We do not receive them.
If you add your own alarm sound or wallpaper photo, the file you pick is copied into the App's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded.
3. Camera, photos and motion
The camera is used only for wake-up missions that need it: scanning a barcode or QR code, finding an object, photographing the sky and the wake-up selfie. Camera frames are analyzed on your device (on-device barcode scanning, image labeling and face detection on Android; Apple Vision on iPhone) only to check that the mission is done. Mission photos are not saved and not uploaded.
Motion and activity data is used only by the step counter mission to count your steps. It is processed on your device and not uploaded.
The App asks for camera and motion access only when you choose a mission that needs it. You can decline and use the other missions. Waken does not use your microphone, location, contacts, photo library or health data.
4. Permissions the App may request
Android:
- Notifications, vibration and wake lock: to show and ring your alarms and optional reminders.
- Exact alarms and full-screen alarm display: so alarms ring on time and open on the lock screen.
- Foreground service (media playback): to keep the alarm sound playing while it rings.
- Run after restart: to restore your alarms after the phone restarts.
- Battery optimization exemption (optional): so the system does not put the App to sleep before an alarm.
- Camera and physical activity: only for the missions described above.
- Internet and network state: to reach the service providers listed below.
iPhone:
- Notifications and Time Sensitive notifications: to ring alarm reminders and reach you during Focus.
- Alarms (iOS 26 and newer): to schedule system alarms.
- Camera and motion: only for the missions described above.
- Background audio and background refresh: to keep alarms working on iOS 15 to 25.
None of these permissions is used to collect data about you or to track you. You can withdraw any permission at any time in your phone's settings; the features that need it will then stop working.
5. Information collected by service providers
The App contains software from the providers below. They receive the listed information through the App and process it for us under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Firebase Analytics (Google): anonymous usage events (for example which screen was opened, that an alarm was created or a mission completed), device model, operating system and app version, approximate region from the IP address and an app-instance identifier.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google): crash reports and technical device state, used to fix bugs.
- RevenueCat: an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and subscription status and purchase history, used to unlock Waken Pro and keep it in sync.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: process payments and subscriptions under their own privacy policies. We never see your card or payment details.
We do not receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, audio or health data through these providers.
Your choice about Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: in the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (and whenever the App cannot tell where you are), the App asks you when you first open it and sends no analytics or crash data until you choose Accept. In other countries this data is on by default. In every country you can switch it on or off at any time in Settings, under Legal, with "Share anonymous data". Turning it off stops the collection from then on and resets the analytics identifier. Purchase handling by RevenueCat is not affected by this choice, because it is needed to provide your purchases.
6. When you contact us
If you write to us from the App (Settings, Support) or by email, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. The App can prefill the email with a short technical summary so we can solve your problem faster. It may include the App version and build, language and time zone, device maker, model, operating system version, your subscription status, plan and renewal details, the anonymous purchase ID, the status of the permissions the App uses, and a summary of your alarm settings (times, repeat days, sounds, missions and volume, but not your alarm labels). You can read, edit or delete this text before you send the email, and nothing is sent unless you press send in your email app.
We use this information only to answer you, to fix the problem and to keep a record of support requests. We keep support emails for as long as needed to help you, to handle disputes and to meet legal duties, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete them earlier.
7. Advertising and tracking
We do not show ads, do not use advertising identifiers, do not track you across other companies' apps and websites, and do not sell or share your data for advertising. Because we do not track you, we do not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and "Do Not Track" signals do not change how the App works.
8. How we use information and our legal bases
We use the information described above only to run the App and its alarms, to unlock and manage Waken Pro and prevent misuse of purchases, to understand how the App is used, to find and fix crashes, to answer your requests, to keep the App secure and to meet legal duties. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EU, the UK and Türkiye), we rely on: performing our contract with you (for purchases and for running the features you ask for); our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the App and fixing crashes; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where the law requires it, such as for anonymous usage and crash data in the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (you choose when you first open the App and can change it in Settings), and when you grant camera or motion access in the system permission prompt.
9. Sharing and international transfers
We share information only with the service providers listed above, who process it for us, with the app stores for payments, and when the law requires it or to protect our rights. If we sell or transfer the App to another party, the information described here may be transferred with it, and this policy will continue to apply until the new owner tells you about any change. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries that may not have the same data protection laws as yours. Where required, they rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or approved data transfer frameworks.
10. Retention and deletion
Data stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the App. Analytics, crash and purchase records are kept only as long as needed to understand usage, fix bugs, manage subscriptions and meet legal duties, and are then deleted or anonymized. Support emails are handled as described in section 6.
To ask us to delete information linked to you, email us at the address in section 14 and include your app version. Because the App has no accounts, we may ask for details such as your order number or the anonymous purchase ID shown in a support email so we can find the right records. We then delete what we can and ask our providers to delete the rest, within the time the law allows.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, Türkiye or California), you may have the right to know whether and how we process data about you, to access, correct or delete personal data linked to you, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, to know to whom it is transferred, to complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Board), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To use these rights, email privacy@alcstackdev.com and include your app version. We reply within 30 days or the shorter time the law requires. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask for details to confirm a request is yours. If an authorized agent makes a request for you, we may ask for proof of authorization.
12. Notice for California residents
In the last 12 months the App may have handled these categories of personal information through our service providers, for the business purposes described in this policy: identifiers (an app-instance ID and an anonymous app user ID); commercial information (purchase and subscription history); internet or app activity (usage events); device information (model, operating system, app version); and approximate location (a region derived from the IP address). We do not collect sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of people under 16.
13. Security
Data sent to our service providers is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Data on your device lives in the App's private storage, protected by your phone's operating system. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If a data breach affects your rights, we will notify the authorities and affected people as the law requires.
14. Contact us
Questions or requests about privacy: privacy@alcstackdev.com
15. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
16. Links and third-party services
The App may open pages of Apple, Google or our website, for example to manage a subscription or read this policy. Those services are not ours and have their own privacy practices.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page together with a new date. If a change is significant we will tell you in the App. If we rename the App, this policy applies to it under its new name.
